There is no reset button on the Vizio soundbar. But, you can press and hold a button combination (“Bluetooth” and “Volume Down”) to start the process. Continue holding these for around 5 seconds. Then release the buttons. Once the reset is done, all the LEDs on your soundbar should flash 3 times.

#1: Power on your soundbar
Connect the power adapter to your soundbar. Then plug it in a wall outlet.
After this, press the “Power” button on your device or on its remote.
#2: Tap and hold the “Bluetooth” and “Volume Down” buttons
Like I said earlier, there’s no single reset button on a Vizio soundbar.
But, there’s a certain button combination that can activate it.
And you could even factory reset the Vizio soundbar without a remote.
Press and hold the “Bluetooth” and “Volume Down (-)” buttons on your soundbar at the same time.
Note: Keep in mind that by doing this, you’ll be erasing all the saved settings on your device. So it’s like you’re bringing it back to its original factory state. And you have to set up everything again after this.
#3: Hold them for about 5 seconds
After pressing the buttons, continue holding them while counting to 5.
The time may vary by a few seconds in other models. Either less or more.
However, 5 seconds was stated in the official Vizio soundbar manual. So it’s the usual waiting time.
#4: Release the buttons and wait until the LEDs blink thrice
Is your Vizio soundbar blinking earlier?
If so, then it should stop as you release the buttons.
Also, if the reset was successful, all the LEDs on your soundbar will flash 3 times.
This means that the process is already done. So this is the only way to know whether you did the right thing or not.
Then as a last step…

If your Vizio soundbar isn’t working after resetting it, it might be in “Demo Mode.”
So here’s what you need to do to disable it.
First, press the “Input” and “Bluetooth” buttons at once on your soundbar.
Hold them for around 10 seconds. Then, wait until all the LEDs on your device flash 4 times.
Does this work?

Option #1: Using the SmartCast mobile app
- Install the SmartCast mobile app on your phone if you don’t have it yet.
